Jake As usual, there's a veritable TON of variety and talent on display here. Well-worth checking out (as monumental a task as that may be), Plum Creek Rhythm Section and Evdog really knocked it out of the park on this one, if you ask me. Favorite track: Kicking the Trees.

To Applejack, strength is not merely how many trees you can buck in a day before your hind legs give out. No, strength is more than that. Strength is the ability to be honest with your friends when it's tough to do so. The ability to do what is morally just. Balancing humility with determination to do what's right. That's being strong. That's Applejack.

This album, Balloon Party 3.5, is by all means a major Balloon Party album, despite the numbering scheme. Applejack seems like an unusual choice for a pony to have a Balloon Party themed after, considering the heavily-electronic nature of Balloon Party, but we believe that this album has found a strong middle-ground between the best hard-hitting electronic dance music that the pony music scene has to offer and the heartfelt, country-born spirit that is a burning passion inside of Applejack...and we hope you do, too!
